I’m a landlord for 3 properties, so I look for businesses that are prompt, no nonsense, no upselling, reliable, and affordable. And when I find one, I stay with it. And The Floor Store is one. Larry Nudleman in particular.
Two years ago they installed laminate, tile, and carpet and this last month it was just carpet. In both cases they started and finished on time, left it clean, gave me great customer service, and quoted a competitive price.
Part of why this place is great is because of their business model. Here’s my observation. In this economy, the big warehouses have the competitive advantage for large home improvement projects. Ikea, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Granite Outlet. You get the benefit of their low prices and they rely on teams of installers who just do install work every day. They’re super efficient.
Now the problem with those other bulk places is that they tend to have poor customer service and low expertise. The person working the counter looks like they got hired accidentally or something. You’re on your own, and good luck getting sage advice.
Not so with Larry and The Floor Store. He’s got years of experience doing this, and he will never steer you wrong. He took good care of me. And he’ll take good care of you.
