Great news, we just got the inside scoop about a beautiful new home! You’re going to love this look inside one of Kimberley Development Corporation’s recent projects. First, we wanted to find out more about the floors (you knew that was coming, right?). They installed Twain engineered oak hardwood floors throughout the project.
Why did you choose Hallmark Floors?
“It was important for me to choose a floor that would marry the elegance of the trim work with the more casual Midwest lifestyle,” said April of Kimberley Development Corporation. “The blend of colors along with the heavy graining and almost imperfectness made it the perfect choice.”

What are your favorite design elements in this home?
“The monochromatic color scheme in the house makes it a warm and inviting space,” explained April. “I tied the chai latte color of the island cabinets in with built-ins surrounding the fireplace and went a few shades darker on the walls. The white contrast pops against the taupe walls which really shows off the oversized trim.”
Where do you find most of your inspiration?
Pinterest, blogs, Instagram, and Houzz are all great places to find project inspiration. For example, this project started with an Instagram photo.
“I found an image on Instagram of painted taupe built-ins and everything else in the house just stemmed off that picture,” said April.
