A few reasons you should consider light hardwood flooring …
Downplays Damage + Dirt
Lighter hardwoods tend to mask dirt and damage a little better than darker shades and can be great for families with children or pets. Options like the pictured oak floor show less dirt and dust; however, if you love the contemporary look of dark hardwoods you can always choose a slightly lighter option and still be happy with your decision.
Bigger + Brighter
If your rooms have a little less square footage than you’d prefer, light hardwood flooring can brighten the space up and help it feel bigger. Lighter colors on the floor actually help create an illusion that a room is larger. That’s a trick that’s sure to come in handy if you are renovating spaces that are small or have low ceilings.
