NW Natural Street of Dreams 2016 in Portland featured five stunning homes, ranging from $3 to $4 million and 5,000 to 8,000 square feet. Our favorite part? Everything is set on a scenic vineyard development with multiple mountain views. La Dolce Vita, one of the homes, featured Hallmark Floors throughout the Tuscan themed rooms.
Haggart Homes, Ronda Divers Interiors and Michael Blondino Designs combined their skills to create the unique Tuscan Villa. As a result, La Dolce Vita has a very rustic style with extensive use of reclaimed wood, stucco, natural stone and authentic clay tile roofing.
“The house sits on just under 2 acres of a gently sloped hillside. Every aspect of this home was built with careful attention to detail with some of the finest craftsman around.” – NW Natural Street of Dreams
Street of Dreams 2016 Design Interview
We connected with Ronda Divers Interiors earlier this week to learn more about the design inspiration, key elements and more. You will love the exclusive photos and details that the talented interior design group shared with Hallmark Floors.
Which hardwood product did you use?
“Hallmark Organic Engineered, Prefinished 567 Gunpowder French White Oak. We love the “old-world” appearance of this product, with the large planks, circle-saw marks, and brushed finish. It feels as though it has been in the home for hundreds of years.”
What are your favorite elements in the home?
“The beams and arch details create a sense of European quality and history in this home. We created that same feeling in the Kitchen design, where cabinets of different painted finishes allude to a collection of materials gathered over time. The show-stopping, garden-like, private outdoor shower was also a hit!”
Where did you find inspiration for La Dolce Vita?
“First, we researched Tuscan-designed historic home books and images. These became the inspiration for presentation boards for our client. Many of the elements and details created in the home were inspired by the photos.”
Why do you recommend Hallmark Floors?
“We specify Hallmark for many projects because we love the look and finishes. We also appreciate the options of ordering a solid or engineered product, and the trim pieces that are available. From a design perspective, having various options give our projects a custom, finished look.”
“From the historic beams and mantels, the Old World Doors, to the plaster ceiling in the dining room this home truly takes you back in time while offering the latest innovations in home technologies and conveniences.” – NW Natural Street of Dreams
In conclusion, Street of Dreams 2016 was a major success. Both the design and build of La Dolce Vita came together to create the perfect Tuscan getaway in Oregon.
